‘Upcoming Audi A6 E-Tron Set to Debut this Summer as Brand Refreshes Lineup’
The highly anticipated Audi A6 E-Tron is set to make its debut this summer, marking a significant step in the brand’s efforts to revitalize its lineup. Despite a slowdown in electric vehicle adoption in the United States, Audi’s commitment to electric mobility remains unwavering.
According to Audi executive Döllner, there was a 50 percent increase in electric vehicles delivered in 2023, signaling a strong push towards electrification. The company aims to electrify all core segments by 2027 and has set a target for a fully electric portfolio in the near future.
While Audi focuses on electric vehicles, there will still be a mix of internal combustion engines, plug-in hybrids, and electric vehicles in their lineup. This diversified approach allows Audi to cater to a wide range of customer needs and preferences.
Financially, Audi reported impressive results with revenues rising to €69.9 billion in 2023, accompanied by a profit of €6.3 billion. The company saw a substantial increase in car deliveries, totaling 1,895,240 units, thanks to high demand and improved supply chain processes. Growth was particularly strong in key markets such as China, Europe, and North America.
Within the larger Audi Group, Bentley managed to post a profit of €589 million despite a decline in deliveries. Lamborghini also performed well, generating a profit of €723 million and delivering 10,112 vehicles. Ducati ended the year on a positive note with an operating profit of €112 million.
As Audi prepares for the launch of the Audi A6 E-Tron this summer, the brand’s commitment to electric mobility and a revitalized lineup remains at the forefront of their strategy.
