‘UAE passes on government modernization insights to visiting Rwandan delegation’

The Government Experience Exchange Office in the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs in Dubai welcomed a delegation from the Government of the Republic of Rwanda during their official visit to the United Arab Emirates. The purpose of the visit was to explore federal and municipal best practices that could be used to aid Rwanda in its government development and modernization efforts.

Led by Yves Iradukunda, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information Communication Technology and Innovation, the delegation included senior representatives from various government offices in Rwanda. They met with Abdulla Nasser Lootah, Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Experience Exchange, to learn about the UAE’s advanced models and experiences in different sectors.

Lootah highlighted the UAE’s commitment to effective international collaborations through information exchange and mutually beneficial experiences. He emphasized that the smart leadership of the UAE aims to modernize government operations and enhance society by promoting international cooperation and partnerships.

During the visit, workshops were organized to facilitate discussions on areas of cooperation and partnership in government modernization, a crucial aspect of the strategic relationship between the UAE and Rwanda. The Rwandan delegation also engaged with UAE officials to learn about competitiveness, statistics, and government capacity building, as well as the experience of the Dubai Future Foundation.

Overall, the visit showcased the strong partnership between the UAE and Rwanda, with a focus on sharing best practices and fostering collaboration for the mutual benefit of both countries.
