‘Sheikh Mohammed reviews plans for ‘Billion Meals Endowment’ Tower’

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has reviewed the plans for the AED 800 million “Billion Meals Endowment” tower, set to be constructed on Sheikh Zayed Road.

The UAE’s tallest endowment tower is a part of the 1 Billion Meals Endowment initiative’s projects, with the goal of expanding endowment assets and achieving significant returns to help establish a food safety net for millions of people globally.

In a meeting with the 1 Billion Meals Endowment Board of Trustees, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid also examined the latest projects and investment ideas under the initiative, operated by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI).

“We want our humanitarian work to endure for generations in the name of the UAE people. This project is a vital step in our efforts to grow endowment assets, all contributing towards the core objective of shielding vulnerable individuals worldwide from the threat of hunger,” His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid stated.

“We strive to ensure the longevity of our humanitarian efforts by establishing a new model that stems from the UAE’s economic growth,” he added.

During the meeting, His Highness was briefed on the design and international standards of the tower, being developed by Wasl Properties. Additionally, he reviewed the results of a study conducted by the Board of Trustees, analyzing potential investment risks and selecting the most promising investment with the least risks, all in compliance with relevant regulations.

Mohammad Al Gergawi, Secretary General of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives and Chairman of the 1 Billion Meals Endowment Board of Trustees, emphasized that the endowment tower reflects the visions and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to launch sustainable humanitarian projects. These projects aim to establish endowment work and further enhance the future of UAE humanitarian efforts.

The returns from the new real estate endowment will be dedicated to establishing a food safety network for millions worldwide, helping combat malnutrition and its associated challenges. MBRGI continues to implement sustainable projects that provide security and stability to underprivileged individuals, alleviating their suffering and positively impacting their communities.
