“Old Port in Doha to Join Dubai International Boat Show 2024”

Doha Old Port, also known as DOP, recently took part in the Dubai International Boat Show 2024 for the second year in a row. In an effort to enhance cruises and marine tourism, DOP signed a cooperation and partnership agreement with Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi.

According to a statement released by DOP, the agreement includes a mutual benefits program between the two marinas. Members of DOP Marina at Yas Marina will now enjoy a free berth for a week every three months at either location, starting from March 1. Additionally, they will receive a 20 percent discount at select restaurants and coffee shops, as well as discounts on hotel stays and boat maintenance services at the port.

Muhanned Ahmed, the Executive Director of DOP, expressed his excitement about the partnership with Yas Marina. He stated that the collaboration aligns with the port’s strategy to attract more yachts and highlight the recently developed facilities to support tourism. The goal is to provide yacht and marine vessel owners with an exceptional experience.

During its participation in the Dubai International Boat Show, DOP’s pavilion attracted a large number of visitors. The exhibition is known as one of the most prominent in the region. The port also has plans to participate in other international exhibitions in the near future as part of its marketing strategy.
