‘Punjab Government Introduces Satellite Internet in Schools’

The Punjab government launched a satellite internet initiative in schools to reduce the digital divide. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inaugurated the project at DPS Model Town. A delegation from the UAE, led by Sheikh Ahmed Dalmouk Al Maktoum, was present during the signing of the MoU. The collaboration aims to provide satellite internet to schools across Punjab, emphasizing the use of technology for development.

The UAE delegation highlighted the importance of satellite internet in improving digital access, especially in remote areas. Sheikh Ahmed Dalmouk Al Maktoum expressed excitement about supporting young talent and technological innovation through the project. The partnership with One Web, ADM Holding, and the Punjab government is a joint effort to fulfill the region’s digital ambitions.

Maryam Nawaz promised a digitally empowered Punjab, ensuring students have access to laptops and satellite internet. Senator Pervez Rasheed and Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb were also present at the event. The initiative reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing educational experiences through digital integration.
