Joern Schwaiger Appointed General Manager at The Inn in Los Olivos, CA

The historic landmark turned luxury destination, The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern, Auberge Resort Collection, located in Los Olivos, has appointed Joern Schwaiger as its new General Manager. With over 20 years of experience in the luxury hotel industry, Joern will be responsible for overseeing all operations at the 6.5-acre property.

Prior to his role at The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern, Joern has opened luxury hotels in various global locations such as Dubai, Beijing, and Manila. He has also played a key role in reopening iconic hotels like the Plaza Hotel in New York. With his extensive experience working with renowned brands like Fairmont Hotels and Resorts and Raffles Hotels, Joern most recently served as the Director of Operations at the Triple Forbes Five Star, Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego.

He looks forward to embracing the traditions, stories, and memories that have been part of the property for many years, while also creating new experiences for the current generation of guests.

Originally from Karlshruhe, Germany, Joern’s love for hospitality and diverse cultures has taken him across North America, the Middle East, and Asia before returning to the United States. In his free time, he enjoys sports, the outdoors, and spending quality time with his wife and three children.
