Cairo Hosts Awards Ceremony for 27th Sharjah Arab Creativity Award

Cairo recently hosted a prestigious ceremony honoring the winners of the 27th Sharjah Arab Creativity Award. The event, held under the patronage of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, was organized by the Department of Cultural Affairs at the Department of Culture in Sharjah in collaboration with the Egyptian Ministry of Culture.

Among the distinguished guests at the ceremony were Dr. Hisham Azmi, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Culture; Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Head of the Sharjah Department of Culture; and Professor Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qasir, Director of the Department of Cultural Affairs and Secretary-General of the Award.

During the ceremony, Al Owais emphasized the significance of cultural cooperation between the Sharjah Department of Culture and the Egyptian Ministry of Culture. He highlighted the Sharjah Ruler’s commitment to promoting diverse cultural activities that positively impact Arab intellectuals and writers.

Dr. Azmi commended the ongoing support of the Ruler of Sharjah for Arab culture, recognizing how this support enhances the role of Arab intellectuals in society. The ceremony, held at the Culture and Arts Theatre of the Supreme Council of Culture, was attended by Egyptian and Arab intellectuals, writers, academics, and artists.

The Ruler of Sharjah also announced plans to extend the celebration of award winners to other Arab countries, as part of efforts to spread cultural benefits throughout the region. Mohammed Al Qasir emphasized the importance of unity among Arab countries and praised the partnership between the Department of Culture in Sharjah and the Egyptian Ministry of Culture.

The awards ceremony also featured a scientific workshop on “Narrative Techniques in the Contemporary Novel,” led by Dr. Hussein Hamouda. The workshop focused on supporting talented writers across the Arab world and recognizing their creative contributions.

Overall, the event was a celebration of Arab creativity and intellectual achievement, showcasing the ongoing commitment to cultural collaboration and support for emerging talents in the region.
