‘Growing interest among Indians in solo travel to Vietnam’

A recent report based on visa applications for summer travel this year has revealed a growing trend among Indian travelers towards solo trips to various destinations. The report analyzed applications submitted on a platform with e-visa mandate for over 133 countries.

Interestingly, solo travelers accounted for a significant percentage of visa applications for popular destinations such as the UAE, Egypt, Singapore, and Vietnam. Specifically, solo travelers made up 65% of visa applications for the UAE, 60% for Egypt, 40% for Singapore, and 45% for Vietnam.

On the other hand, group tours also saw a notable number of visa applications, with 20% for the UAE, 30% for Egypt, 25% for Singapore, and 20% for Vietnam. This indicates a diversity in travel preferences among Indian tourists.

Notably, Vietnam emerged as a favored destination for solo travelers, with a majority of visa applications coming from the cities of Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi. This trend suggests a growing interest in exploring Vietnam individually among Indian travelers.

Overall, the report highlights the increasing popularity of solo travel among Indian tourists and the diverse range of destinations they are keen on exploring.
