Explore Art and Technology at XR Lab Open Days in Belfast This Summer.

The Digital Arts Studios (DAS) has recently launched a new XR Lab, geared towards artists and creatives interested in exploring and enhancing their creative practice using XR technologies. XR, which stands for extended reality, encompasses augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mixed reality (MR). The XR Lab offers participants access to various XR technologies, as well as talks, demonstrations, and workshops.

While membership to DAS is typically required for full access to the Lab, the studio is hosting Open Days during the Photo festival to allow non-members to attend sessions and explore the available equipment and resources. Open Day attendees will have the opportunity to receive guidance on how the lab can benefit and elevate their creative work before deciding on membership.

This initiative is made possible with support from the National Lottery through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland’s Digital Evolution Programme for Organisations, in partnership with Future Screens NI.
