ERC to distribute 10,000 Iftar meals at Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Solo, Indonesia thanks to Hamdan bin Zayed’s instructions

The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) is set to provide 10,000 Iftar meals daily during the holy month of Ramadan in the Indonesian city of Solo (Surakarta), following directives from HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region, and Chairman of the ERC.

The ERC has already begun implementing Sheikh Hamdan’s instructions and is working on expanding the reach of the Iftar program to benefit more people both within the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the city of Solo as a whole.

To ensure the success of the project, the ERC is enlisting the help of the local community by providing them with essential food supplies to prepare the meals for those fasting. This initiative aims to promote a sense of solidarity and cooperation that embodies the spirit of Ramadan.

By providing basic Ramadan necessities from local markets in Solo, the ERC is demonstrating its commitment to supporting those in need during the holy month. Hundreds of volunteers from the community are expected to participate in supervising and organizing the distribution of meals to fasting individuals in and around the mosque.

The ERC has expressed gratitude for the cooperation received from the management of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Solo. This initiative reflects the UAE’s dedication to humanitarian efforts and its commitment to aiding friends and brothers in need during Ramadan.
