’15th Edition of SCRF Now Accepting Volunteer Registrations’

Volunteer Registration Now Open for SCRF’s 15th Edition

The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), in partnership with the Sharjah Volunteer Centre, has officially opened volunteer registration for the 15th edition of the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF) to individuals of all nationalities.

Scheduled to take place from 1st to 12th May at the Sharjah Expo Centre, the event will include a variety of workshops and panels focused on children’s literature. Attendees can expect to see the latest local and international books that promote children’s engagement with knowledge and learning.

The SBA emphasized the importance of integrating volunteers into the festival each year, citing their crucial role in its success. Volunteering symbolizes the spirit of collaboration and partnership between the community and businesses in support of Sharjah’s cultural initiatives.

Volunteering holds significance as a social value deeply ingrained in Emirati culture, offering valuable opportunities for skills development in mega event management. Young volunteers can enhance their expertise through direct engagement with the public, exhibitors, and participants.

Individuals between the ages of 18 and 45 who are interested in volunteering can sign up through the following link: [insert registration link]. Volunteers are required to commit to the full 12-day event, with the option to choose between morning and evening shifts to accommodate their schedules.

Throughout the festival, volunteers will provide essential assistance to participants and visitors, offering guidance on activities, schedules, and venues within the Sharjah Expo Centre. Past editions welcomed 150 volunteers, with interactive workshops led by experts focusing on nurturing children’s talents.

The SCRF also highlights the work of children’s and young adults’ authors, illustrators, and publishers, celebrating winners of prestigious awards such as the Sharjah Children’s Book Illustration Award and the Sharjah Books for Visually Impaired Children Award.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of a vibrant cultural event and contribute to the community as a volunteer at the 15th edition of the SCRF.
