’11-truck aid convoy arrives in Gaza Strip’

An aid convoy from the United Arab Emirates has made its way into the Gaza Strip through the Egyptian Rafah crossing as part of the “Gallant Knight 3” humanitarian operation. The convoy, consisting of 11 trucks, is carrying over 240 tonnes of essential supplies including winter clothing, tents, family supplies, food items, and medical supplies.

This aid is part of ongoing efforts by the UAE to support and alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza, providing them with their basic needs. Since the start of the “Gallant Knight 3” operation on Feb. 20, 2024, the UAE has delivered over 15,809 tonnes of aid through 165 cargo planes, two cargo ships, and 476 trucks. The field hospital inside Gaza has received 5,423 cases so far.

In addition to the aid convoy, the UAE has also set up six desalination plants with a daily production capacity of 1.2 million gallons to benefit the Gaza population. Furthermore, five automatic bakeries have been dispatched to the Egyptian city of Al Arish in preparation for their transfer into the Gaza Strip.
