‘Zepp OS 3.5 Update Introduces Advanced AI Technology’

Zepp Health has unveiled Zepp OS 3.5 at the Mobile World Congress 2024 in Barcelona, introducing a new set of features to compatible devices with a focus on the AI-powered Zepp Flow. This software update brings significant enhancements to Amazfit fitness trackers and smartwatches.

One of the key additions is the integration of natural language AI with Zepp Flow. This upgraded voice assistant utilizes Large Language Model (LLM) technology to enable natural conversations and operations on Amazfit smartwatches without the need for traditional wake-up phrases or button triggers. This feature sets Zepp apart from other smartwatch ecosystems like Google Assistant on Wear OS devices.

Users can now perform a variety of actions using Zepp Flow, such as scheduling meetings, checking run paces, initiating workouts in offline mode, and adjusting watch profiles and modes through voice commands. Existing third-party assistants like Amazon Alexa and Zepp’s personal coach tools will remain available with the new update.

In addition to performance optimizations, Zepp OS 3.5 brings new features to compatible Amazfit smartwatches. While a comprehensive changelog for each model is yet to be released, users can expect a seamless user experience with the updated firmware.

The software update will first roll out to the Amazfit Balance in select regions like the USA, Canada, Ireland, and the UK, with plans to expand to other regions starting on May 1. Subsequent models like Amazfit Cheetah (Pro), Amazfit Falcon, Amazfit T Rex Ultra, and Amazfit Active will receive the update on different dates, with the final update for Amazfit Active scheduled for June 20. Unfortunately, older models like the Amazfit GTR 4 and GTS 4 will not be supported by Zepp OS 3.5.

Are you curious to see if your Amazfit smartwatch is compatible with Zepp OS 3.5? Stay tuned for more updates and share your thoughts on what additional features you would like to see in the update.
