‘Zamfara Security Trust Fund Embarks on Tour of Emirate Councils to Address Insecurity’

The Zamfara State Security Trust Fund is actively working to address security challenges in the state by seeking support from various communities. The Fund recently conducted a tour of Emirate councils to assess the current security situation and to engage with local leaders in mobilizing resources to enhance security measures.

During meetings with the Emirs of Maru and Tsafe Emirate councils, Chairman of the Zamfara State Security Trust Fund, retired IGP Muhammed Abubakar, stressed the importance of collaboration between the Fund and the communities. He highlighted the Fund’s responsibilities, which include sourcing funds for security management, assessing security challenges, gathering and sharing intelligence, and procuring security equipment and logistics.

The chairman also expressed the committee members’ dedication to their task and extended condolences to the Emirs and families of those who have lost their lives to insecurity in the state. In response, the Emirs of Maru and Tsafe expressed their support for the Fund’s efforts and pledged to work together towards restoring peace in the state. They mentioned that prayer initiatives within the emirates have already shown positive results and promised to continue supporting the Fund’s policies and programs to achieve their security objectives.

The Emirs emphasized the importance of fairness and justice in all dealings and reaffirmed their commitment to working closely with the committee to ensure the safety and security of Zamfara State. With strong collaboration between the Trust Fund and the local communities, there is optimism for a more secure and peaceful future for the state.
