Workshop with Paul Howard on Story Building in Belfast: Children’s Events, Family Friendly Activities, Learning Experiences, Summer Festivals in Belfast – What’s On in the City!

Award-winning children’s author and illustrator Paul Howard is hosting a unique workshop where children can collaborate on their own story as a group. In this workshop, kids aged 4-8 will learn to draw Plop from “The Owl Who was Afraid of the Dark” in a few simple steps, while also allowing grown-ups to pick up a thing or two along the way.

The workshop provides the perfect opportunity for children to immerse themselves in the world of Paul’s characters and brainstorm their own ideas about where Plop and friends might be today. It is suitable for children of all literacy levels and is organized in association with the Seamus Heaney Centre at Queen’s.

Paul Howard has a rich history of collaborating with renowned children’s authors such as Allan Ahlberg, Michael Rosen, and Martin Waddell. He has received numerous awards for his work, including a Blue Peter Award and The Primary English Award. As the third Children’s Writing Fellow for Northern Ireland, Paul has conducted workshops for thousands of children across the country.

Please note that any income or donation received from ticket sales for this event will support The Crescent Arts Centre and Belfast Book Festival. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to unleash your creativity and storytelling skills with Paul Howard.
