‘Winners of AGF Awards Announced at GEI Conference in London’

The Green Events & Innovations Conference kicked off the ILMC in London, culminating in the prestigious International AGF Awards ceremony. Belgium’s Paradise City festival was a standout winner, securing both the International Greener Festival Award and the Greener Catering Award.

The AGF Awards recognize outstanding sustainability efforts across various sectors such as power, water, food, travel, and community engagement. Paradise City festival demonstrated excellence in all these areas, with Esther Koshari stating, “Sustainability is in the DNA of everything we do at Paradise City.”

The AGF certification process involves providing recommendations for immediate and long-term improvements, strategic emission reductions, and overall venue sustainability. After a thorough self-assessment, site audits are conducted by AGF assessors, resulting in a detailed report with certification levels across 10 key areas and a roadmap for further actions.

In addition to Paradise City’s wins, other notable winners of the 2024 International AGF Awards include Rosendal Garden Party (SE), I Land Sound (EE), Sonidos Líquidos (ES), ØyaFestivalen (NO), Green Gathering (UK), Boom (PT), and 6 Degrees by Team Love and re:right design (UK) in various categories.

These awards highlight the commitment of these businesses to environmental sustainability and the positive impact they are making towards a greener future.
