“VR Experience Offered by TF1 Studio at Cannes Film Festival 2024 to Rediscover a Classic Movie”

TF1 Studio unveiled a new Virtual Reality experience in honor of the Cannes Film Festival, showcasing the restoration of Jacques Feyder’s “Pension Mimosas” (1935) in 4K. The immersive experience transports viewers back to a 1935 cinema that has since disappeared.

The company chose the iconic Pereire Palace, a 1,500-seat cinema that was originally built in 1935 in the Art Deco style at 159 rue de Courcelles (75017), before being converted into commercial premises in 1955. By meticulously reconstructing the auditorium based on original plans and articles from the time of its opening, TF1 Studio has brought the cinema back to life, allowing visitors to experience its beauty and magic once again.

Louis Ravard, the creator of the unique experience for TF1 Studio, will unveil the project at the Cannes Film Festival with the Newen Connect teams at the Newen Studios stand. The experience will later be showcased at various notable venues and festivals.
