‘Unveiling of Logo for 2024 Gulf Youth Games in UAE’

The UAE 2024 Gulf Youth Games logo was recently unveiled, showcasing a design that embodies the word “Emirates” with ascending Arabic lines symbolizing ambition and progress. The logo, approved under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, reflects vitality, unity, and cultural harmony among the Council States.

The event, scheduled to take place in Dubai from 16 April to 2 May, will feature 36 individual and team sports in 41 disciplines, bringing together 3,500 male and female athletes under the slogan “Our Gulf is One… Our youth is promising.” The logo itself celebrates friendship, solidarity, and the values of respect, equality, and fair play, with colors inspired by the UAE flag to promote unity among the Cooperation Council States.

During a meeting of the Higher Committee for the First Gulf Youth Games, details of the event were finalized, including the distribution of sports competitions across the emirates and the approval of the event’s website, www.uae2024.ae. The event also introduced its mascot, a falcon in a space suit symbolizing soaring ambition and innovation inspired by the UAE’s achievements in space exploration.

H.E. Fares Al Mutawa, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee, expressed that the opening ceremony on 23 April at the Dubai Opera would be a technical marvel, incorporating the latest technological advancements and AI techniques to create a captivating and heritage-infused spectacle.
