UAE helps Syrian refugees in Jordan celebrate Eid Al Fitr in happiness

The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) team recently organized a festive Eid Al Fitr celebration for Syrian refugees at the Emirati-Jordanian camp in Mrajeeb Al Fhood. Deputy Director of the relief team, Yousof Al Harmoudi, highlighted the ERC’s dedication to promoting child welfare and providing a holistic well-being experience for camp residents, with a focus on children.

Al Harmoudi stated, “The ERC team at Mrajeeb Al Fhood is committed to meeting the essential needs of the refugees, including food, clothing, medical supplies, shelter, and vital support. Recognizing the importance of entertainment in supporting child development, we prioritize the emotional well-being of all refugees, especially the youth.”

The Eid Al Fitr celebrations included prayers, festive greetings, and the distribution of Eid gifts specifically for children and orphans. Additionally, the camp administration collaborated with a local company to organize a variety of engaging events such as cultural competitions, artistic performances, face painting, henna artistry, and appearances by popular cartoon characters, showcasing the diverse cultures of the residents.

The festivities, held at various locations within the camp, drew a large turnout from residents, fostering a sense of unity and joy. The ERC continues to play a crucial role in supporting the well-being of over 6,000 Syrian refugees at the camp, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance and care they deserve.
