This event is designed to engage young children with a variety of interactive activities including preschool story-times, craft stations, and special appearances by costumed characters that are sure to delight attendees.
A highlight of the Northumberland celebration will be the dramatic atom drop, facilitated by the Northumberland Fire Department. Utilizing their ladder truck, firefighters will conduct a countdown to noon under the watchful eye of an electronic display near the park gazebo. In addition to the festivities, various snacks will be available for purchase, making it a convenient outing for families. In a parallel celebration, the Bloomsburg Children’s Museum will host its Seventh Annual Countdown to Noon from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event encourages families to explore New Year-themed crafts and games, culminating in a special noon countdown. Admission to the event is included with museum entry, and the facility will close at 1:30 p.m. following the festivities.
