Twelfth Annual Film Festival “Spirit of Fire” Concludes
The XII International Festival of Cinematic Debuts “Spirit of Fire” has concluded, bringing together professionals, experts, art connoisseurs, and film lovers in Yugra under the leadership of festival president Emir Kusturica. The festival, sponsored by Gazprom Neft, Gazprom-Media, and the Roscongress Foundation, awarded the prestigious “Golden Taiga” award for the best debut film to Askhat Kuchinchirekov’s “Bauyryna Salu.” Naour Garmelia’s “The Last Price” took home the prize for the best Russian debut, while Viktoria Degteva won the short meter competition with “Black.”
Director Anggi Friska’s “Tegar” clinched the top spot in the competition program for children and teenagers, “Your Cinema.” Additionally, Natalia Makovetskaya was honored with the special prize of the Northern Forum for her film “How a Don Cossack became a reindeer herder,” recognized for preserving the heritage traditions of the indigenous peoples of the Arctic and the North.
