‘TikTok Partners with AXS for Ticket Purchases on Platform’

TikTok has announced a new partnership with ticketing platform AXS, allowing fans to discover and purchase tickets for live events directly on the social media platform. This feature is currently available in markets such as the US, UK, Sweden, and Australia, giving Certified Artists on TikTok the opportunity to promote their AXS live dates through in-app ticketing.

Music enthusiasts can easily find and buy tickets for events through AXS within the TikTok platform with just a few clicks. Michael Kümmerle, TikTok’s global music partnership development lead, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating that it will connect millions of users with legendary artists, venues, and festivals, providing artists with a new way to promote their live dates and engage with their audience.

This collaboration follows the successful expansion of TikTok’s partnership with Ticketmaster to more than 20 new markets last year, where fans could purchase tickets to live music events through Ticketmaster within the TikTok platform. Additionally, TikTok is now an official discovery partner in the AXS Anywhere programme alongside streaming platform Spotify and discovering service Bandsintown.

Marc Ruxin, chief strategy officer for AXS, highlighted the importance of TikTok as a global platform for music content and the partnership with AXS as a way to provide seamless ticket-buying access to iconic venues, festivals, and tours. This collaboration aims to enhance the experience for music fans by combining discovery-driven content and commerce.
