Third ship from UAE departs with aid for Gaza as part of Operation ‘Gallant Knight 3’

A third UAE aid ship carrying 4,630 tonnes of humanitarian supplies departed from the Port of Fujairah today for Al Arish, Egypt destined for the Gaza Strip. This initiative is part of Operation “Gallant Knight 3” aimed at supporting the Palestinian people in need.

The ship is loaded with 4,218.3 tonnes of food, 370.2 tonnes of shelter materials, and 41.6 tonnes of medical aid, along with essential water tanks, septic tanks, and a diesel storage tank. The cargo was generously provided by the Emirates Red Crescent, Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, and transported by 267 trucks.

Under Operation Gallant Knight 3, the UAE has implemented various projects including the setup of field hospitals, automatic bakeries, and desalination plants. The country established two field hospitals, one within the Gaza Strip and another floating hospital off the coast of Al Arish city, ensuring medical aid reaches those in need. Additionally, the UAE has provided flour to existing bakeries and established desalination plants producing 1.2 million gallons of water daily for over 600,000 people in Gaza.

Moreover, the Joint Operations Command initiated Operation “Birds of Goodness” to airdrop humanitarian aid in remote areas of the northern Gaza Strip. 486 tonnes of relief and humanitarian supplies have already been airdropped, demonstrating UAE’s commitment to providing assistance to those in isolated areas.

The UAE’s continuous efforts and initiatives are a testament to their dedication in supporting the Palestinian people and providing essential aid in times of crisis.
