The Impact of Music on Cultural Diversity and Intellectual Harmony

Sharjah, 30th April, 2024 – Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, inaugurated the Rubu’ Qarn Music Centre in Sharjah. This significant milestone highlights Sharjah’s dedication to nurturing talent and promoting the national identity through the arts.

The centre provides a dynamic environment for students to learn new musical skills through individual and group lessons on various instruments. Students can also participate in talent competitions and on-stage performances. Additionally, the centre offers pathways to prestigious international certifications from The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and Trinity College.

During her visit to the centre, Sheikha Jawaher Al Qasimi observed various teaching methods and the state-of-the-art facilities, including music classrooms, a ballet studio, and concert halls. She emphasized the importance of music in building promising generations and fostering cultural exchange between communities.

Furat Qaddouri, Executive Director of the Rubu’ Qarn Music Centre, stated that the centre aims to enhance cultural identity and contribute to establishing Sharjah as a global arts and music hub. Through various programmes, the centre seeks to develop critical thinking and creative skills among participants, creating a generation of researchers and thinkers.

Future plans for the centre include offering specialized programmes in music technology, sound engineering, vocal performance, and craftsmanship workshops for instrument manufacture and repair.
