Summer Performance Dates Revealed at a Historic Opera House in Colorado

Colorado’s historic opera houses are not just hosting classical performances this season. The lineup includes a diverse array of events such as films, live music, painting exhibitions, theater productions, dance performances, a Wild West Fest, and even a symposium on psychedelic medicine.

The Colorado Historic Opera Houses Circuit consists of five opera houses situated in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. The Wheeler Opera House in Aspen is commemorating the 40th anniversary of its reopening in 1984. Visitors can enjoy Wheeler Opera House and Aspen Music Festival and School History Tours on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 10:30.

Upcoming events on this season’s circuit include the Ouray International Film Festival at Wright Opera House in Ouray from June 20-23, the Telluride Bluegrass Festival at Sheridan Opera House in Telluride from June 20-23, the Central City Opera 2024 Summer Festival from June 29 to August 4, the 21st Annual Telluride Plein Air at Sheridan Opera House in Telluride from June 30 to July 6, Into the Woods at Tabor Opera House in Leadville from July 18-20, the Telluride Americana Music Festival at Sheridan Opera House in Telluride from July 19-20, the Leadville Boom Days Festival with Talent Show and Madams of Central Colorado at Tabor Opera House in Leadville from August 2-4, and The 51st Annual Telluride Film Festival at Sheridan Opera House in Telluride from August 30 to September 2.
