Summer concerts return to amphitheatre in Wilmington in UAE

Wilmington’s Urban Artist Exchange (UAE) Amphitheater is once again hosting free concerts this year. The City of Wilmington and Cityfest, Inc. kicked off the 2024 UAE Summer Music Series on Wednesday evening. This marks the fourth year of the series and the first full season in the new amphitheater.

As part of the series, the Levitt Foundation will be supporting ten free, family-friendly concerts this summer, starting in July and running until early September. City of Wilmington Cultural Affairs Director Tina Betz expressed excitement about this year’s lineup, which includes a diverse range of music genres such as world music, jazz, R&B, and singer-songwriter performances by local, regional, and international artists.

The amphitheater offers lawn seating, and attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and seating for their comfort. Betz also mentioned that the city is working to ensure the venue is comfortable for all attendees. For early concerts, propane heaters will be available on the lawn to provide additional warmth for those who need it.

The next concert is scheduled for Wednesday, May 1, featuring The Blues Reincarnation Project. With a mix of talented artists and a commitment to providing free, family-friendly entertainment, the UAE Amphitheater’s Summer Music Series is sure to be a hit with music lovers in the Wilmington area.
