“Successful Flight of Boom’s Demonstrator Sparks Hopes for Supersonic Travel”
Boom Supersonic, a US-based aviation company, has achieved a significant milestone in the revival of supersonic travel with the successful flight of its XB-1 supersonic aircraft demonstrator at the Mojave Air & Space Port in California.
The company has been working on developing the first independently developed supersonic jet, known as Overture, which is set to be the world’s fastest airliner. Overture is designed to fly at twice the speed of current airliners and can operate on up to 100 percent sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
This successful flight of the XB-1 marks a major step forward in Boom Supersonic’s mission to bring back supersonic travel and revolutionize the aviation industry. With the potential for faster and more sustainable air travel on the horizon, the future of supersonic travel looks promising.
