Successful Exam Leads to Addition of New Insolvency Practitioner to KPMG Turnaround and Forensics Team
The KPMG Turnaround, Restructuring, and Forensics team in Belfast has expanded with the addition of a new insolvency practitioner (IP) following Jamie Callaghan’s successful completion of the Joint Insolvency Examination Board (JIEB) corporate exams.
Jamie stood out as the sole candidate from Northern Ireland to pass the challenging corporate insolvency exams, which were taken last November. This accomplishment now allows him to act as an IP in corporate insolvency cases, joining a team of five IPs led by James Neill.
James Neill, Partner and Head of KPMG’s Turnaround, Restructuring, and Forensics team, praised Jamie’s achievement, highlighting his dedication and journey within the firm over the past eight years. He emphasized the difficulty of the JIEB exams, with only a 25% pass rate this year, underscoring the significance of Jamie’s success.
In response, Jamie expressed his excitement about applying his newly acquired knowledge and skills as an insolvency practitioner. He commended the exceptional team at KPMG and pledged to continue working with companies in Northern Ireland to safeguard value and achieve optimal outcomes for all stakeholders involved.
This development showcases the continued growth and expertise within KPMG’s Turnaround, Restructuring, and Forensics team, positioning them well to navigate complex insolvency cases and deliver impactful solutions in the region.
