Song: Efterklang – Receiving Reminders (featuring Zach Condon)

Danish band Efterklang is back with their latest single ‘Getting Reminders’, featuring Beirut’s Zach Condon on trumpet. Along with the new track, they have released a documentary titled ‘Efterklang: The Makedonium Band’ and announced live shows, including a special performance at London’s Barbican on October 5th to celebrate both the new music and the band’s 20th anniversary.

Lead singer Casper Clausen describes ‘Getting Reminders’ as a moment of illumination triggered by simple reminders like photos or words, allowing minds to wander freely. Despite the current divisive political climate, Clausen emphasizes the existence of an interconnected landscape where people can come together beyond cultural boundaries.

The music video for the single, directed by Søren Lynggaard and Casper Clausen, breathes life into still images from North Macedonia. Clausen’s guitar evokes a sense of happiness, while Condon’s trumpet adds a melodic yet melancholic touch to the track, welcoming Efterklang back with open arms.
