Second edition of technical infrastructure manual launched by DEWA

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has announced the launch of the second edition of its Infrastructure NOC (No-Objection Certificate) Technical Manual. The manual serves as a reference guide for contractors, consultants, and developers accredited by DEWA, in line with the authority’s efforts to promote business in the Emirate.

The Infrastructure NOC Technical Manual aims to streamline and expedite the process of acquiring electricity and water services by adhering to the best international standards and practices in terms of reliability, quality, and efficiency. In this latest edition, DEWA has introduced 17 new project types, bringing the total number of projects covered to 67. Additionally, the manual now includes specific standards for water assets and updated technical specifications and protection details for new electricity assets.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, the MD and CEO of DEWA, emphasized the importance of keeping pace with Dubai’s economic growth and increasing population demands. He highlighted DEWA’s commitment to supporting Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double the size of the Emirate’s economy over the next decade and solidify its position among the top three global cities.
