Emirates, Dubai’s flagship carrier, is set to resume its daily flight services to Phnom Penh in Cambodia via Singapore starting from May 1, 2024. This move is aimed at enhancing the airline’s connectivity to and from Dubai in Southeast Asia while creating links to trade centers in the region.
The flight service will include four daily flights to Singapore using a three-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, offering first class, business class, and economy class options. The flight EK348 will depart Dubai at 2:30 am, arriving in Singapore at 2:05 pm, and then departing Singapore at 3:35 pm to reach Phnom Penh at 4:35 pm. The return flight, EK349, will leave Phnom Penh at 8:50 pm, arrive in Singapore at 11:50 pm, and then depart Singapore at 1:40 am, reaching Dubai at 4:55 am.
Moreover, Emirates SkyCargo will provide cargo belly hold capacity of over 300 tonnes per week on the Boeing 777-300ER for shipments to and from Phnom Penh, with textiles and pharmaceuticals being key commodities exported from the city.
According to Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, the resumption of the Phnom Penh services reflects the airline’s commitment to strengthening its Southeast Asian network and creating more travel opportunities. The schedule alignment with Singapore will also offer optimal connecting options to and from various destinations in France, UK, Germany, Switzerland, and the United States.
Emirates expressed gratitude to the Cambodian and Singaporean authorities for their support in establishing this new route. The airline aims to foster stronger ties between the UAE, Cambodia, and Singapore through this enhanced flight service.
