Record-breaking skydiving team puts on stunning light show

A group of skydivers in Eloy, Arizona, recently made headlines by setting two new world records with a mesmerizing light show in the night sky. Equipped with pyrotechnics, these daredevils achieved a Vertical Night Record and a Sequential Vertical Night Record on March 22 and 23.

During the record-breaking attempts, 42 skydivers soared vertically upside-down from a height of 16,000 feet, reaching speeds of up to 200 mph. This broke the previous record set in Germany in 2021, which involved only 14 skydivers. The following day, a smaller group of 21 skydivers successfully set a Night Vertical Two-point Sequential World Record before adverse weather conditions halted further attempts.

The addition of pyrotechnics attached to the skydivers’ legs created a stunning light display in the night sky, adding an extra level of excitement to the already thrilling event. Event organizer Sara Curtis expressed her admiration for the dedication and skill of all participants, highlighting the unforgettable experience of being part of the Max Pyro 2.0 team.

Representing ten different countries, including Australia, Argentina, and the United States, the skydivers in Eloy showcased a truly international effort. Plans are already in motion for the group to attempt another night skydiving record in approximately three years, promising more exhilarating feats to come.
