Record-breaking cantilevered building at One Za’abeel

Mace, a renowned construction company, recently announced the completion of One Za’abeel, the world’s longest cantilevered building in Dubai. Owned by the Investment Corporation of Dubai, One Za’abeel stands out as one of Mace’s most intricate engineering projects.

The highlight of this development is the 230-meter long steel and glass ‘Link’, a sky bridge suspended 100 meters above a major four-lane highway, connecting the two towers of the building. This architectural marvel adds to Dubai’s skyline, joining other iconic structures and programs such as Jumeirah Beach Residences, Expo 2020, Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, Hyatt Capital Gate Hotel, and Ski Dubai with the world’s longest indoor ski slope in the desert.

Jason Millett, Deputy CEO of Mace Group, expressed his pride in delivering such an impressive structure and reflected on the company’s 25 years of work in the UAE. He emphasized Mace’s commitment to contributing to the development of landmark projects across the region.

One Za’abeel has received four Guinness World Records for its achievements:
– The longest cantilevered building at 67.227 meters
– The largest mesh screen on a building at 28,665 square meters
– The longest and largest architectural projection-mapped display
These records solidify One Za’abeel’s status as an architectural feat and a significant addition to Dubai’s landscape.
