Recognition for Three Women Pioneers by Portland Chamber of Commerce

The Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce recently announced the recipients of its inaugural WE Rock! Awards, which aim to honor female trailblazers who have positively impacted their community. The 2024 honorees include Claudette Ndayininahaze, Susan Doliner, and Margaret Angell.

Claudette Ndayininahaze, recognized for her exceptional work at the Portland nonprofit In Her Presence, will receive the She Empowers Award. Through her leadership, Ndayininahaze has empowered immigrant women in Maine through critical language programs, career training, and mentorship opportunities.

Susan Doliner, the chief development officer at MaineHealth and vice president of philanthropy at Maine Medical Center, will be presented with the She Inspires Award for raising over 0 million for Maine Medical Center and contributing significantly to healthcare growth in the state.

Margaret Angell, the head of partnership and strategic activities at Northeastern University’s Roux Institute, will receive the She Unites Award for her advocacy for lifelong learning and economic progress in Maine. Angell’s visionary leadership and strategic partnerships have helped drive positive educational and economic advancements across the state.

The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on April 24 at the Canopy By Hilton Portland Waterfront Hotel in Portland. The event will honor these remarkable women and celebrate their contributions to Maine’s communities.
