‘Rabanne Introduces New Collection Inspired by Jane Birkin on Net-a-porter’
Paco Rabanne is embracing the essence of the French Riviera with a new capsule collection in collaboration with Net-a-porter, just in time for the Cannes Film Festival. The collection, set to launch this Friday, features 21 pieces of ready-to-wear and seven accessories designed to take you from day to night.
Nadia Dhouib, the general manager of Rabanne, shared that this collaboration marks the brand’s first partnership with Net-a-porter since 2020. The collection reflects the brand’s evolution into a full-fledged wardrobe for every moment of the day, moving beyond just occasion wear.
Prices for the pieces in the collection range from 290 euros for a gathered T-shirt to 5,500 euros for a hand-embellished crochet evening tunic. The inspiration for the collection came from style icons Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg, particularly their carefree yet chic looks from the 1970s in Cannes.
Despite the challenges faced by online retail, Rabanne is committed to their partnership with Net-a-porter. Speaking highly of the platform, Dhouib emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships in the current retail landscape.
To celebrate the launch, an event will be held in Greece for influencers and key customers. While far from the Cannes red carpet, Rabanne is confident that the spirit of the French Riviera captured in this capsule collection will resonate with a global audience.
