‘President of the UAE welcomes President of the Union of the Comoros’

President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan hosted a significant meeting with Azali Assoumani, President of the Union of the Comoros, during his working visit to the UAE. The meeting took place at Qasr Al Bahr and focused on enhancing cooperation in economic, trade, investment, and development sectors between the two nations.

President Assoumani’s attendance at a ceremony marking the Comoros’ accession to the World Trade Organization coincided with the opening of the WTO’s 13th Ministerial Conference in Abu Dhabi. The leaders discussed the importance of this milestone for the Comoros, emphasizing its potential to accelerate developmental initiatives and create more investment opportunities for the country.

In addition to economic matters, President Sheikh Mohamed and President Assoumani also exchanged views on various regional and international issues of mutual interest. The meeting was attended by notable figures such as Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), among others, highlighting the diplomatic significance both nations place on their relations.
