‘Premier Bank to Implement Top Tech Upgrades in 2023’

Premier Bank in Youngstown, Ohio, made significant strides in technological advancements throughout 2023. The year kicked off with the launch of an advanced customer service engine on the bank’s website, allowing for chat functionality through a secured portal with client solution center associates. This enhancement aimed to streamline troubleshooting and enhance the overall customer experience.

During the summer, Premier Bank’s treasury management services division introduced Integrated Payables. This web-based platform enables the execution of AP payments, including virtual card, ACH, wire, or check options, from a client’s accounting system through an online portal.

In August, Premier Bank rolled out the digital payments network Zelle, enabling clients to easily send money to friends and family directly from the bank’s mobile app. Additionally, the treasury management division unveiled a commercial purchasing card designed to provide business clients with secure and convenient payment options for expenses such as travel and marketing.

The autumn season brought a new consumer online and mobile banking platform with enhancements focused on cybersecurity, financial tools for tracking spending and setting savings goals, and improved navigation for viewing the customer’s entire financial profile.

Looking ahead, Premier Bank plans to continue its momentum of technology upgrades with the upcoming launch of new features for the small-business online and mobile banking platforms.

In recognition of Premier Financial Corp.’s outstanding financial performance, the company was named to the Piper Sandler Sm-All Stars Class of 2023. As part of their commitment to community support, Premier Bank awarded over 2,000 in grants to 121 partners in the Mahoning Valley as part of their annual kindness campaign, “Powered By (kind) People. Fueled by You.”

Premier Bank expanded its physical presence by opening a new branch in Avon last year and is set to open another branch in Medina this month.
