“Pope Francis Continues Working Despite Cold Symptoms”

Pope Francis continues to work at full pace despite battling a cold, as confirmed in a series of audiences he held throughout the morning. Despite feeling under the weather and undergoing tests at Gemini Hospital due to influenza symptoms, the Pope maintained his scheduled activities.

During a general audience, Pope Francis had his prepared speech read by his collaborator Filippo Ciamparelli, as he expressed the need to conserve his energy due to his ongoing cold. The Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, reassured the public that the Pope is in good health and has recovered from the flu, despite mild symptoms persisting earlier in the week.

The Pope even led the traditional Angelus prayer from the window of the papal palace on Sunday, showing no signs of weakness to the thousands of worshipers gathered in St. Peter’s Square. This isn’t the first time Pope Francis has faced health challenges, having canceled events in November due to bronchitis and postponing his trip to Dubai in December.

Despite these setbacks, the Pope has always managed to recover and carry on with his duties. It’s evident that his commitment to his role remains unwavering despite any health issues that may arise.
