Paul Keenan leaving COO role at Bauer Group at end of Q3

Bauer Media Group’s Chief Operating Officer, Paul Keenan, will be leaving the company after a sixteen-year tenure, the broadcaster announced on April 26. Keenan is set to step down on September 30 but will remain as an advisor for Bauer.

Having joined Bauer in 2008, Keenan played a pivotal role in overseeing the UK consumer businesses and radio operations. His three-year stint as COO on the Executive Board witnessed significant advancements within the company.

This departure comes after a series of key personnel exits earlier this year, including CFO Anna Sedgley, Director of Music Pete Black, as well as last year’s departures of Group Managing Director Dee Ford and Chief Strategic Partnerships & Events Officer Steve Parkinson.

Bauer Media operates radio stations in various countries, including the UK, Ireland, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Norway.

CEO and Owner of Bauer Media Group, Yvonne Bauer, praised Keenan, stating, “Paul is an immensely talented, entrepreneurial, and driven member of our team whose vision and ambition have transformed our business for the better. I am excited to continue working with him on new projects and initiatives in the future.”

Keenan expressed his readiness for the transition, mentioning his enthusiasm for new opportunities and interests outside of Bauer while still collaborating with the company.

The departure of Paul Keenan marks a significant change for Bauer Media Group, with new projects and initiatives on the horizon as the company moves forward without its longstanding COO.
