‘Park in Paris to be Rebranded as Disney Adventure World’

Disneyland Paris is embarking on a thrilling transformation with the overhaul of its second gate, Walt Disney Studios Park. The park is set to be rebranded as Disney Adventure World and will undergo a massive €2 billion investment for its expansion and renovation. A major highlight of this transformation is the introduction of a Frozen-themed land known as World of Frozen, positioned near Adventure Bay, serving as the central hub for the new expansion.
Tom Fitzgerald, the Walt Disney Imagineering Chief Storytelling Executive, expressed his enthusiasm for the transformation, envisioning the shift from soundstages to immersive adventure worlds inspired by beloved Disney stories. These new lands and experiences will shape the park’s identity, creating opportunities for guests to engage in adventures based on iconic Disney tales. The grand debut of World of Frozen alongside Disney Adventure World promises an exhilarating new chapter for the park.
Construction on the new park entry plaza is slated to kick off in April, with the entrance building being revamped into a space reminiscent of historic movie theaters in Hollywood. Renamed as World Premiere, the new entry building is set to open its doors in Spring 2025. Moreover, World Premiere Plaza will showcase facades from Broadway and West End theaters, leading visitors to Adventure Way, home to a new family-friendly attraction, Raiponce Tangled Spin, and a table-service restaurant named The Regal View Restaurant and Lounge.
Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris, underlined the park’s dedication to providing immersive experiences that deeply resonate with guests. The investment in Disney Adventure World marks just the beginning of a broader investment strategy for Disney, as the company has announced a remarkable billion investment over the next decade in its Experiences segment. This investment will focus on expansion and enhancement of both domestic and international parks and cruise line capabilities, potentially including developments on over 1,000 acres of land.
Bob Iger, Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company, highlighted the company’s track record of strategic investment and growth, aiming to further boost growth through the current investment plan. In addition to the transformation of Disneyland Paris, Disney has revealed plans for a variety of new attractions and enhancements at its theme parks, such as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Resort, the renovation of EPCOT, and the debut of Fantasy Springs at Tokyo Disneyland Resort. Disney is also gearing up to unveil new cruise ships and welcome passengers to Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point in June.
