‘Over 300 events planned for summer festival in Riverside Park at no cost’

This summer, Riverside Park is not just the spot for cherry blossoms but also a hub for free outdoor events in NYC. Summer on the Hudson, a program by Riverside Park Conservancy and NYC Parks, is back with over 300 free events starting May 1, including new programming in West Harlem and Washington Heights.

The extravaganza will feature artists, musicians, wellness activities, and popular events like Silent Disco sessions, Irish Dance Festival, West Side County Fair, and Movies Under the Stars. New events this year include movie screenings, sunset yoga classes, and Black Birders Week. Performances will include Limón Dance Company, jazz vocalist “Lady” Cantrese Alloway, performance storyteller Rachael Harrington, and more.

President & CEO Merritt Birnbaum expressed excitement for the festival’s diverse offerings for all ages and interests. The launch party on June 5 at Sakura Park will kick off the festivities with local artists and performers, raising money for public programming. Join in on the fun and learn more about the event on the Riverside Park website.
