OSF HealthCare partners with GE HealthCare and Pointcore to enhance care delivery models

OSF HealthCare Cancer Institute and Breakthrough Treatment Center is set to implement cutting-edge diagnostic imaging and digital technologies as part of a ten-year partnership with GE HealthCare. This collaboration aims to enhance clinical and operational practices across OSF HealthCare hospitals in Illinois and Michigan, with a focus on personalized and precise patient care.

GE HealthCare will work closely with Pointcore, a healthcare management and non-clinical shared services company owned by OSF HealthCare, to develop new care delivery models in nuclear medicine, oncology, and radiology. The deployment of new medical imaging scanners and AI technologies, including Air Recon DL and Sonic DL software, will enable faster and more efficient care for the provider’s one million patients annually.

The OSF HealthCare Cancer Institute and Breakthrough Treatment Center, operated by The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis, will offer a range of services including clinical trials, radiation oncology, hematology, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and surgical oncology. Equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging technology such as MR scanners, CT, PET, X-ray, and ultrasound, as well as research spaces and advanced treatments within radiation oncology and nuclear medicine.

With the implementation of GE’s technology and a comprehensive Theranostics program, the institute aims to enhance its oncology service line and provide superior care to cancer patients.
