“Opening Ceremony for the EU Business Hub – Japan and Korea Initiative”

The EU Business Hub in Japan and the Republic of Korea is a program funded by the EU to assist EU Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the green, digital, and healthcare sectors in entering the markets of Japan and the Republic of Korea. The goal of the program is to support EU businesses in expanding their export and investment activities and building more resilient, sustainable, and technologically advanced value chains with these markets.

Over the next four years, the program will host 10 business missions in Japan and 10 in the Republic of Korea, with each mission accommodating a group of 50 innovative EU companies who will receive extensive business coaching.

During these missions, participants will learn about the objectives of the EU Business Hub, the program’s services, details on the business missions, eligibility requirements, and the selection process for participating companies. Additionally, information regarding the schedule of the first business missions in Japan and the Republic of Korea, the target sectors, industries for each mission, and the timeline for the application process will be shared.

Overall, the EU Business Hub aims to support EU SMEs in expanding their presence in Japan and the Republic of Korea by providing them with the necessary resources, guidance, and opportunities to thrive in these markets.
