The Nature Conservancy in Nevada (TNC) is hosting an open house at River Fork Ranch Preserve on April 13, 2024. The event, located at 381 Genoa Lane in Minden, NV, is free and open to the public. Guests are invited to join scheduled events or drop by throughout the day to learn about TNC, River Fork Ranch Preserve, and opportunities for involvement.

River Fork Ranch, situated at the confluence of the east and west forks of the Carson River near Genoa, serves as both a nature preserve and a working cattle operation. The diverse landscape of riparian corridors, pastures, meadows, and wetlands provides habitats for various wildlife species such as bald eagles, sandhill cranes, leopard frogs, monarch butterflies, and mule deer.
The Whit Hall Interpretive Center at the preserve serves as a focal point for TNC’s community outreach and education efforts along the Carson River. It is open for school visits and hosts scheduled events and activities throughout the year.
