‘New Reverse Osmosis Desalination Plant in Umm Al Quwain is Largest Yet’

Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chief of the Presidential Office, has inaugurated the “Naqa” seawater desalination plant in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain. This plant is one of the largest seawater desalination projects in the world utilizing the Reverse Osmosis system.

The “Naqa” plant has a capacity to produce 150 million gallons of desalinated water per day and operates under the independent producer system. This state-of-the-art facility will help address the growing demand for clean water in the region.
