New programs, initiatives, and ambassadors revealed for upcoming 3rd Edition of 1 Billion Followers Summit

The 1 Billion Followers Summit, organized by the New Media Academy, has revealed exciting new updates for its upcoming third edition. These announcements include the introduction of new ambassadors, a funding program, and a million award for purpose-driven content.

The preparatory meetings for the summit were recently held from 6 to 8 June at Emirates Towers in Dubai. Over 25 global experts and content creators came together to shape an agenda for the event, which is scheduled for 11-13 January 2025 and is themed “Content for Good.”

Her Excellency Alia Al Hammadi, CEO of the New Media Academy, highlighted that the summit aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to position the UAE as a global digital economy hub. The summit aims to attract creatives and innovators to enrich the media landscape regionally and globally.

Key initiatives and programs unveiled during the preparatory meetings include a million prize for content creators whose work promotes positive impact on communities under the theme “Content for Good.” The audience can nominate their favorite creators for the award, with finalists chosen through public voting and winners selected by expert panels at the summit.

Another program introduced is the 1B Pitches, designed to provide funding and support to content creators with innovative ideas. This initiative aims to empower media and content entrepreneurs by offering them a platform to pitch their ideas to potential sponsors and investors.

Additionally, the 1 Billion Followers Summit Ambassadors were announced, with prominent figures such as Ahmed El Ghandour and the Anazala Family joining to support and promote the event’s mission. These ambassadors will help amplify the message of the summit, with more ambassadors expected to be revealed soon.

El Ghandour is known for his popular YouTube program “Al Daheeh,” while the Anazala Family, represented by Anas Marwah and Asala Maleh, has achieved great success on their YouTube channel. The duo holds multiple Guinness World Records and has won the Kids’ Choice Award.
