‘New Leadership Team Announced for Hyphenate Media Group’

Hyphenate Media Group, the content studio and media holding company founded by Eva Longoria and Banijay Americas chair Cris Abrego last fall, has announced its executive leadership team. STX Entertainment president of scripted television and production, Jada Miranda, has been appointed as Hyphenate president of television. Joining her in the C-suite are chief strategy officer Karla Pita Loor and chief operating officer Alex Chang, both coming from Banijay Americas. Each executive will report jointly to Abrego and Longoria.

Miranda, who previously oversaw domestic and international co-productions at STX with companies like Netflix, SyFy, and Prime Video, brings a wealth of experience in development, including work on well-known shows like “Entrourage,” “The Comeback,” and “Hannibal.” Longoria praised Miranda’s extensive network and studio experience, emphasizing her leadership in running Hyphenate originals.

Pita Loor will focus on communications, public relations, and brand development in her new role, leveraging her expertise in strategic planning and execution. Chang, with his experience in finance and strategy at Banijay Americas, will now lead finance and operations for Hyphenate’s studio and media holdings, drawing from his background at Quibi and Disney.

Abrego expressed excitement about the addition of Pita Loor and Chang to the team, highlighting their dynamic leadership and professional acumen. Together, the executive team aims to achieve ambitious strategic and operational goals across the studio business and holdings of Hyphenate Media Group.
