New generative AI course for educators offered through partnership with MIT RAISE from Grow with Google

Teachers play a crucial role in shaping the minds of future generations. While they may make teaching look effortless, the reality is that they put in countless hours to prepare engaging lesson plans and creative class materials. To assist teachers in this endeavor, Grow with Google has partnered with MIT RAISE to launch a no-cost course called Generative AI for Educators.

This course is designed to help teachers develop essential AI skills in just two hours of self-paced study. By utilizing generative AI tools, teachers can create personalized lesson plans, tailor instruction for different abilities, and save time on everyday tasks like drafting emails. At the end of the course, teachers will receive a certificate that can be used for professional development credit in their district.

School districts across the country, such as Albuquerque Public Schools, Chicago Public Schools, and Miami-Dade County Public Schools, will be offering the Generative AI for Educators course. Whether you are a superintendent looking to offer PD credit for your district or a teacher interested in enrolling, you can find more information at grow.google/GenAIforEducators. This initiative is part of a shared commitment to promoting useful and responsible AI education in the classroom.
