‘New Game Token ‘Notcoin’ Set to Launch—How to Claim Your Tokens’
Notcoin, a viral Telegram-based game that has amassed 35 million players in the first quarter of this year, is set to launch its NOT token on The Open Network (TON) in the near future. Co-creator Sasha Plotvinov revealed at Token 2049 Dubai that the launch is expected by the end of April, with three key options for handling funds.
Although the game’s “mining phase” ended on April 1 in preparation for the token launch, Notcoin will reintroduce its coin-tapping gameplay post-token generation event (TGE). There will be some changes to the model, but players can still earn tokens by engaging with partner content within the game.
Following the token launch, there will be incentives for players not to immediately withdraw their tokens. Plotvinov mentioned that opportunities to spend tokens within the game for unlocking certain features will continue to exist.
The Notcoin team anticipates a significant number of players will remain engaged and utilize their tokens within the game. For those looking to withdraw their NOT tokens on The Open Network, options include transferring to a centralized exchange account or a supported self-custody wallet.
The team at Open Builders is focused on ensuring a smooth withdrawal process, addressing previous delays. Details on exchange support for NOT at launch were not disclosed at this time.
