New exhibit at NorthPark Center showcases creativity and beauty

This spring, NorthPark Center in Dallas is hosting the extraordinary Fleurs de Villes Artiste exhibition from March 20-24. Featuring 15 unique fresh floral mannequins created by talented floral designers from North Texas, this free exhibition showcases themes chosen by the region’s vibrant arts and cultural organizations.

Fleurs de Villes, based in Vancouver, Canada, combines a love for flowers, local design talent, and bespoke displays to create experiential events like no other. Their name, which translates to “flowers of the cities,” ensures that each display is unique to its hometown talent in Dallas.

Karen Marshall, co-founder of Fleurs de Villes, expressed excitement about bringing the exhibition to Texas, especially to the iconic NorthPark Center. The theme of Artiste perfectly aligns with the center’s commitment to the arts, community engagement, and seasonal landscaping.

Nancy A. Nasher, the owner of NorthPark, emphasized the harmonious connection between landscaping and art that Fleurs de Villes Artiste highlights. The exhibition will feature floral mannequins from renowned art institutions in the region, such as the Dallas Museum of Art, the Nasher Sculpture Center, and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.

In addition to art institutions, the exhibition will also celebrate the spirit and culture of Mexico with a colorful Jalisco dress created by Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico and Concepto. Special events during the exhibition include a meet-and-greet with the floral artists and cultural performances.

Fleurs de Villes Artiste will continue its global tour through the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom after Dallas, making stops in various cities. The exhibition is located on level one between Neiman Marcus and NorthCourt at NorthPark Center and is free to the public. Due to the delicate nature of fresh flowers, the exhibition will only be on view until March 24, so be sure to visit before they wilt.
